From Shelley Cooper, the designer:  I witnessed the reading of the Book of Esther at the Synagogue at Rouen, France, the oldest known Jewish building in Europe. Built in the 1200s, its star window casts a lavender blue light through the sanctuary.  Echoing those colors, I chose a palette of blue and lavender Swarovksi crystal with an oval vintage art glass center stone to anchor the design.
